The Little Lady with a Big Smile

Who would simply ignore this little lady from the College of Arts and Letters, Journalism Department if you would cross her along your way? She was not just an ordinary lady that would definitely touch your heart she was simply gorgeous in and out. She was also the Secretary of the Guild of Visual Artist (GVA) an organization of aspiring photographers, videographers and documentarist.
She simply loves simple life the way her life goes around the four corners of her room, this was her world she loves spending much of her leisure time reading novels and pocketbooks, even watching romantic movies and listening to music. A full grown Manilenian  that adopts its fast social growth surrounded by tall buildings and stablishments, an ordinary girl who love to go to malls with friends and do a window shopping, spa and other luxurious things in life the proof was her collection of branded shoes and bags that worth a thousand peso. After going to shopping especially window shopping she simply love eating street foods  and going to bar but not drinking a lot of alcohol beverages.
The little lady whom this refer to is no other than Rica Canon. An AB Journalism 2A student, my friend and my colleague all I can say about her is that she was simply amazing a person you can laugh with, and a person you can deal with if she was against your opinion. A Korean Pop fanatic that she has many wallpapers of those characters in her cell phone.
Above her luxuries her attitude matter most she was the person you could easily get with especially if you have the same personality and you will be her friend, she’s so nice a little bit of crazy sometime but its life its part of her that I and of her other friends loves about her she smile and laugh like crazy but with a heart of an angel she simply a girl with a big smile.

Journ 2A goes to Naga City

This so called Filipino time have yet to manifest everytime we draw up a seemingly settled form of schedule. No doubt the way we handle time have been perennially trivial in a sense that has become a notable for all of us here in the county.
The talked about departure of the bus for the tour to Naga was seven in the morning but still managed to left Daraga at almost eight waiting for the arrival of the others, isn’t it surprising? And as the bus started to drove its way to our destination, John Paul Molina, the tour guide pleased us passenger with his known background information about the Bicol region. His serious approach of sharing down the things he knew about region was ironically turned into a matter to laugh about. Thanks to the self-absorbed clowns and wannabes of our class.

The first stop of the tour was the University of Nueva Caceres and by there we met an old man giving strict instructions upon entering their beloved museum which showcases the handful historic arts of the Filipino culture which dominantly flaunts the remnants of the ever famous hero of the land, Jose Rizal. We walk to the isle of the museum slowly as we could relish every short second we gaze at those awesome live evidences of how our culture is to be cherished. It’s quite disappointing to leave to soon but the tour must go on. And off we go to our second destination, the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary where inside lies the Museo Arquelogico. The Museo had in it the artifacts of some remarkable belongings not only to the region but also of the colonizers of the past whom had dwelled and left their own legacy influencing the culture. The place indeed striking especially the curator who is the old woman trying to instruct and scold every visitor whom did not follow her allowed rules. The funny thing though is no matter how she shout “no cameras and no picture taking would be tolerated” still the student were secretly clicking their way to capture each unique beauty of the antiques.
After the seminary, we then proceeded to the Peňafrancia Resort to have a healthy meal, a time off to relax and appreciate natures simple dainty. Having our belly’s filled, we continue on our tour at the Basilica Church where we found out arrival a wedding ceremony going on so the back part of the church was now the ideal entrance. The amount of time given to pray was only fifteen minutes. The as expected is to be completed with almost non-stop picture taking which mostly have taken place inside the bus and throughout the tour proper.

The last destination of the tour was the SM Naga. A place where we spent an hour and a half freely roaming around the mall and do what we want. Then after time lapses as fast as it could, four-thirty came at hand and the tour was officially near to its end. It was already past seven in the evening when we arrived back to Daraga. The tour as many could say was fun yet exhausting, promising yet not that educational. Out of this, we do expect a lot more the next time someone spearheads another tour.
